Profile of Lain Singh Bangdel

The retrospective exhibition of Bangdel held in Nepal Art Council Gallery, Kathmandu in 1991. In the picture withj Bangdel is seen the then Prime Minister of Nepal Mr. Krishna Prasad Bhattarai, late leader of Nepali Congress Mr. Ganeshman Singh

In 1985 Bangdel was awarded France’s most prestigious honor in the field of art “Lettres d’Art et de Merit” the then French Ambassador to Nepal H.E. M. Lionel de Warren is presenting the decoration.

Bangdel was decorated in 1985 with the “Commendatore”, Italy’s highest honor for his ontribution to art &culture. With him in the picture is the then Italian Ambassador H.E. Calamai.
